Job Summary

  • Reviews, prepares, reconciles and analyzes accounting records and financial reports.
  • Familiar with ADP RUN Software.
  • Accounts Receivable – make collection calls if necessary, apply all customer checks to invoices in QB, and deposit in bank. Advise management of problem accounts and prepare a weekly report of Aged A/R and Open Invoices for management.
  • Leased Equipment – Ensure that all lease documents are gathered and filed in an Equipment Lease file. Make payments according to lease payment schedule. Also check insurance requirement on lease and be sure that PDA analytical is maintaining the proper insurance.
  • Fixed Assets – Maintain fixed asset ledger and depreciation schedule. Ensure that each asset is capitalized according to IRS rules and depreciated accordingly. Set up a depreciation schedule for each asset, along with a copy of the invoice(s) for the asset to support the asset value for tax purposes. Record depreciation in QB.
  • Quick Books – ensure that QB is set up properly with accounts, customers, vendors, etc. so that financial records will be correct. Set up memorized reports for weekly, monthly and year-end reporting.

 

General Accountabilities

  • Monitors, reviews and verifies accounting records and transactions for accuracy, timeliness and adequacy of supporting documentation.
  • Ensures compliance with internal policies, agency rules and regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Reviews and analyzes reports for accuracy prior to distribution.
  • Clarifies or researches issues as necessary.
  • Provides input for the development of accounting applications, reports, forms, records and documented procedures.
  • Assists in development of financial projections and forecasts.

 

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field
  • Experience (Level I): Completion of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license with 2-5 years of related experience
  • Experience (Level II): Completion of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license with 5-7 years of related experience
