Position Summary

Provide administrative support to the Fixed Income division to ensure accurate trading activity, analysis and reporting.

Essential Duties/Function:

  • Liaise with Fixed Income Team to ensure the timely and accurate confirmation of all trades in a timely manner.
  • Monitor trade books in a live environment to ensure positions, P&L and risk are all accurately captured at the point of execution.
  • Process corporate actions, daily trades and troubleshoot issues; maintain, develop and improve current processes & procedures.
  • Interact with various parties across the business including Corporate Operations to ensure accuracy in trade booking and flows.
  • Collaborate with dealers, portfolio executives and banks; monitor and track portfolio cash positions.
  • Check money market rates with bank and trade daily time deposits.
  • Fulfill daily, weekly and monthly reporting requirements and working with IT division to improve automation where possible.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 -3 years of administrative experience within the financial services industry.
  • Fluency in English and Japanese required.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office computer software, including advanced functions of MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg and related trading systems.
  • Detail oriented, analytical, highly organized team player with strong communication skills able to quickly identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work in a real-time environment with strong risk management and compliance awareness.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with business units and other operational groups; a flexible team player able to adapt to change.
