Corporate Development Analyst/Associate
Fullsteam is a private equity-backed software and payments platform based in New York, NY and Auburn, AL. We are actively acquiring small and medium-sized payments and software companies across multiple industries. Our goal is to increase payments margins and provide operational support to management teams within our family of companies.
The Corporate Development analyst/associate will work closely with the CEO, Michael Lawler, and director of M&A, Greg Colella, to the source, evaluate and complete acquisitions of technology companies. Our team is largely entrepreneurial and we expect all members of the team to adapt and improve as we grow our platform and M&A engine.

Responsibilities

  • Find and get in touch with software businesses in the US across a wide range of markets including nonprofit and fundraising, leisure and activity management, SMB management, equipment, and storage rental, real estate and field and home services
  • Develop close relationships with CEOs, investment bankers, lawyers, and other regional influencers to facilitate introductions and connect with outstanding technology companies
  • Frequent travel with members of the M&A team
  • Complete diligence, including customer metrics analysis, modeling, and industry research
  • Create presentation materials for board review and company pitches
  • Identify opportunities for acquired companies to improve technology offerings and increase growth rate

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analyst: 0 – 2 years of experience with an investment bank, private equity/venture capital, consulting firm, or software company
  • Associate: 3 – 5 years of experience with an investment bank, private equity/venture capital, consulting firm, or software company
  • Has a high-level understanding and intellectual curiosity regarding software and technology
  • Tenacious and energetic
  • Ability to adhere to and continuously improve/refine processes
