Blackwood Family Medicine is looking for qualified Registered Nurse-RN to join its healhcare team. Blackwood Family Medicine is a comprehensive affordable health care facility for individuals and families. Requirements: Registered Nurse-RN
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BCLS certification.
• At least one year experience in a skilled nursing or long term care setting.
• Spanish fluency is an asset.
• Basic computer entry skills required.
• Interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact with patients, families, physicians, and to demonstrate empathy and sensitivity necessary to elicit patient and family cooperation.
• Essential Technical/Motor Skills; Hand/eye coordination in order to give injections, change dressings, use computer, and perform certain patient procedures.
• Essential Sensory Requirements; Good vision is required when providing skilled nursing, reviewing diagnostic data, and completing required documentation. The ability to communicate clearly is required when instructing patients and their families and maintaining effective contact with providers.

Duties: Registered Nurse-RN
The right candidate must be able to carry out duties to include but not limited to:
• Perform check in procedures upon patient presentation to the clinic; retrieve records and reports required for patient visit and record vitals and chief complaints-reason for visit.
• Provide vaccinations for adults and children.
• Prepare exam rooms before patient use to include: spot cleaning, restocking of supplies and equipment
• Operate needed medical equipment (e.g. EKG Machine other equipment).
• Provides general patient care and basic patient education.
• Assists health care providers with examinations, treatments, special tests and routine procedures.
• Obtains patient health history, laboratory specimens, vital signs and administers TB skin tests.
• Performs duties which indirectly support patient care such as scheduling, record keeping, answering the phone, and maintaining supplies inventories.
• Reviews patient chart; records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient's conditions.
• Schedules and coordinates paperwork for patient transfers to medical facilities or outside health care providers; administers medications; implement health care practitioners’ orders and documents all patient contacts using the POMR format.
• Administer medications/treatments safely and effectively.
• Perform nursing care functions in a safe and effective manner.
• Establish self as advocate for patients.
• Practice effective risk management.
• Provide age appropriate care.
• Respect Patient’s Rights.
• Participates as a team member by performing additional assignments not directly related to the job summary when workload requires and as requested by the Office Manager.
